Who We Are

Our Philosophy

NorthSun Ventures is a Business Incubator and Community Development Organization which was founded in 2012 by a group of like-minded entrepreneurs, business professionals, and philanthropists who believe that businesses have the capacity to make significant positive impact in developing communities, and that the success of any business is measured by more than simply profits. The founders wanted to create an organization that would promote business growth in these communities by assisting entrepreneurs in starting and growing businesses.

Our Philosophy

At NorthSun Ventures, we believe that Non-Profit Organizations play a vital role in furthering development in emerging communities around the world. We also believe that there are certain aspects of community development that can be more effectively accomplished by establishing for-profit businesses which can serve as anchors in these communities and stimuli for economic growth.

NorthSun Ventures was created to capitalize on the strengths of both the non-profit and for-profit models to promote growth and development in emerging communities around the world. We do this through both our Community Health and Development Program and our Business Incubator Program.

What We Do

NorthSun Ventures operates two separate programs, our Business Incubator Program and our Community Health and Development Program. Each program has similar goals, but different methods of attaining these goals.

Business Incubator Program:

The NorthSun Business Incubator Program works with individuals and teams living in developing communities to assist them in identifying and vetting potential business opportunities, and then helping them develop these opportunities into viable businesses. The Business Incubator Program provides a wide range of services to entrepreneurs including:

NorthSun Ventures works with businesses which not only have strong potential for profitability, but also high likelihood of making significant positive impacts in their local communities.

Community Health and Development Program:

The NorthSun Community Health and Development Program seeks to partner with professionals and local organizations who are working in developing communities to improve the overall health and level of education of its residents through more effective teaching methods and preventive and/or treatment programs. These programs are not meant to generate profit, but are instead focused on improving the lives of the people they serve. The Community Health and Development Program offers the following services to these providers:
